Like the company's clean rating and 3 plant protein sources-usually can only find one.
I like the taste and texture of this protein powder.
Very reputable company! Best of the best and I recommend.
Apple crisp is one of those recipes that just belongs to autumn. Warm, bubbling apples, a golden oat topping, the smell of cinnamon filling your kitchen; it's the definition of cozy. And this version? It's got protein in it. Which means you can eat it for breakfast and feel guilt-free.
5–6 medium apples — Honeycrisp or Fuji work beautifully here
1 tbsp pure maple syrup
1 tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp nutmeg
1 tbsp arrowroot powder or tapioca starch (this thickens the filling naturally)
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
Pinch of sea salt
1 scoop Elevate Organic Women’s Vanilla Protein Powder
1 cup rolled oats
¼ cup almond flour
3 tbsp coconut sugar or pure maple syrup
1 tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp sea salt
4 tbsp grass-fed butter or coconut oil, melted
Preheat your oven to 350°F. Peel and slice your apples into thin, even pieces about ¼ inch thick. Thinner slices cook more evenly and give you that soft, jammy texture in the filling rather than undercooked chunks.
In a large bowl, toss your apple slices with maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, arrowroot powder, vanilla, and sea salt until everything is well coated. Pour the filling into a lightly greased 9x9 baking dish and spread it into an even layer.
In a separate bowl, mix your rolled oats, almond flour, protein powder, coconut sugar, cinnamon, and sea salt together until combined. Pour your melted butter or coconut oil over the dry mixture and stir until everything is coated and clumping together slightly. You want it to look like a crumbly, rough topping, not a smooth paste.
Scatter the topping evenly over your apple filling. Don't press it down. Keeping it loose gives you that classic crisp texture once it bakes.
Bake for 35–40 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the apple filling is bubbling around the edges. Let it sit for 10 minutes before serving.
Most dessert-for-breakfast scenarios work because you've convinced yourself to ignore what's in them. This one actually holds up. Real apples, whole rolled oats, almond flour, grass-fed butter, and a full scoop of clean protein in the topping means you're getting fiber, healthy fats, and protein in one bowl. Autumn comfort food that pulls its weight.
